Mold Making & Matte Blanks

Have you attended our beginners workshop or our Masterclass and wondered what to do next? Well we have got you totally sorted! We have developed our brand new project workshops, small class sizes to keep the vibe low key and enabling us to spend quality time with you, guiding your through each step of the process, creating an enjoyable creative environment.

Have you ever wondered how resin makers create smooth and perfect components - that look just like clay or have a matte effect? Well the key is learning how to make your very own set of matte blanks to use for mold making. So in this workshop I will share all my tips and tricks for creating amazing component blanks, then you will learn how to prepare and lay out a mold frame to utilise the most surface area and be super conservative with your use of silicone. You will be shown how to finish and prep your molds from pouring. We create blanks from scratch and 2 beautiful hand made silicone molds to pour your very own resin components (We do not pour resin in this workshop).

This is a great opportunity to learn two skills - loads of hacks and learn step by step how to make the perfect mold - if you choose to join via a virtual spot you will need to provide your own supplies - you will recieve a full list of what you need. If you decide to hang out with us in studio all tools and materials will be provided to create one set of blanks and two small molds.
